IABC Houston Bronze Quill Award
IABC Houston honored top communications campaigns from the past year at its annual Bronze Quill Awards. In this case, both MyHart Communications and ActionCOACH were recognized for our Business Owners Speak Out (BOSO) Newsletters. Between May 2020 and May 2021, BOSO gave struggling business owners a free marketing opportunity. The Q&A-style interviews were shared with over 12,000 subscribers. As a result, the strategy proved effective with a growth in revenue for our client while providing free services to businesses in need of a helping hand. Furthermore, BOSO became ActionCOACH Houston’s top tool to communicate with prospects during the pandemic.

Houston Stronger is an independent non-profit organization that works directly with local, state and federal officials to increase funding for flood mitigation and flood-related infrastructure improvements in Greater Houston.
Houston Stronger opposed a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ recommendation included in a regional flood control plan. Houston Stronger and the 200 groups it represents believed the plan would be a waste of resources.
By writing an op-ed for the Houston Chronicle, Houston Stronger and MyHart Communications redirected policy. Now, it best suits the needs and resources of the community. Significantly, this project garnered two awards that recognized the importance of our client’s work and how we helped them achieve their goals.

Bringing in our second Bronze Quill Award of the year is our work with Houston Stronger’s response to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. We are proud to be honored with an Award of Excellence. This award specifically recognizes the top communications campaigns.
